-Do your raids in 10 min intervals. Here's the way I do it so I dont get attacked while I raid
Safety attack(a lower level member you can easily beat), three 10 minute raids, another safety attack and the last three 10 minute raids.

-DO NOT horde gold!! I cant stress this enough. If you have a large amount of gold, get rid of it ASAP.

-Concerning gold: Spend your gold to improve yourself. ALWAYS improve stats, first and foremost. If you have the ability, get good armor and weapons, as well as stat, manhunt and battle rings. Also, invest in a sentinel ASAP. Not only do they help you in attacking, but make a useful bank. Just spend extra money on their stats. Any leftover money, just stock up on extra potions, they come in handy, trust me. Of course, whatever is left after all that spending, please donate to the clan.

-Stats: As I said, IMPROVE you stats. What you work on first is your choice because your attack/defence strategy is probably different from mine. Attack, Defence, Stamina and Agility are the stats you need to work on. Dexterity is not as important as it only applies to finding vampires to attack so dont waste as much gold on it.

-Strength determines how much damage you do, IF you are able to strike your opponent (If his/her stamina is high, you will do less damage!)

-Defence determines how well you can block or evade enemy attacks (If the enemy has a high agility level he/she will hit you more often!)

-Agility determines how likely you are to strike your opponent (If the enemy's defence is high, you are less likely to hit him/her!)

-Stamina determines how much damage you sustain IF you are struck by the enemy (If the enemy is very strong he/she does more damage)

-Dexterity determines how likely you are to find an opponent during the hunt search and also affects his defence bonus (if his hideout is huge and your dexterity is low, you can't find him and he gets a large defence bonus!)

-Hideout: Whether you choose to upgrade your hideout is up to you. Its not very useful unless youre done working for the day. Upgrade as you feel necessary, but dont invest money if you could be improving stats or other necessities.

-Graveyard/Earning Gold: Again, this is your choice, but if you arent doing raids, its best to spend time you arent online in the graveyard. That way you are earning money while you are away. Of course, level up because every 5 levels you move up and are able to earn more gold. Now keeping the money you earn is hard, but remember if you attack someone, you cannot be attacked for one hour. (Or 45 mins if you are raiding because of the 15 min you are unable to attack) Other than graveyard and raids, then attack as many people as you can. This earns you more money and moves you up in the highscore rank.
